Since your pup can’t join you in your pumpkin spiced lattes, we found some ways you can incorporate pumpkin into their diet. These recipes are even perfect for Thanksgiving celebration.

- Grinding pumpkin seeds into your pet’s food is a great way to make sure they’re getting enough protein, carbohydrates and fiber.
- Pumpkin seeds contain cucurbitin; which is an amino acid that acts as a natural de-worming agent by paralyzing tapeworms, and other intestinal parasites.
- Pumpkin flesh slows digestion and help manage diarrhea by absorbing water
- Great for constipation due to its high fiber and water content

Frozen Pumpkin Dog Treats
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
Directions
- Mix pumpkin and yogurt together in a bowl
- Divide the mixture evenly into an ice tray or molds
- Freeze for 24 hours
- Pop the treats out of the mold and put into a freezer bag for storage. You can also leave them in the ice tray if you have the room in your freezer.

- 1 cup pumpkin puree
Directions
- Mix pumpkin and yogurt together in a bowl

Banana Pumpkin Dog Treats
Ingredients
- 3 cups whole wheat flour + extra for dusting counter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 banana, mashed
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Mix eggs, banana and pumpkin together. Add flour and mix until all the flour is incorporated.
- Lightly dust the counter and a rolling pink with flour, then roll out dough to approximately ⅛’ and cut out treats
- Lay out a baking sheet and bake for approximately 20 minutes. Let treats cool before giving them to your pup!
